Little Martha..

This tune was written by Duane Allman.
With all due respect to his skill,I've always liked Leo's version better.
He uses the most wonderful harmonics.A cute little trick of laying the finger across the fret, that produces a sound I can only describe as ear candy.
If memory serves, this was filmed during Leo's "Home and Away" concert at Wolftrap theatre in Canada.

JP- Just a little something I whipped up in 3 days,7hours,and 24 minutes.

citymouse- Tasty as bisquits and gravy on a Sunday morning!

lorraine- I have some small skill in that area.
I always ask myself,"What would Leo do?"

*Warning to everyone that knows how I admire this guy,I'm about to go off*..
Rosemary- Leo Kottke is an absolute guitar virtuoso.
He's mastered Bach,Andres Segovia,Chet Atkins,Doc Watson, and developed a personal style that makes every other guitarist go,"DAMM!".."How'd he do that?..

Lordy I love that mans music!
You know how people supposedly see their whole life flash before their eyes when they are about to die? Leo Kottke will be the soundtrack playing behind that event when it happens for me.
Just sayin.

Where's the words?

Downside of living with a musician and guitar player and having too many other guitar playing friends. Yah yah yah. Love the fingers. Where's the WORDS?

And I know I got the grammar wrong, but it just spits out better.

serena joy- Short and sweet...
..and that's kinda wierd, because it's a simple little tune, that requires a fair amount of technical brilliance to execute.

booda baby- Now you've done it..
I have to tell you yet another story.

When I was in first grade, during music class,Mrs. Wolfert would have us sing all those,"Down by the station".."B.I.N.G.O.".."99 bottles of beer"..whatever,type songs..and at the end of the class, she would play classical music for us,sans vocals, and ask us to tell a story about what we had heard.
There was no right or wrong answer, just like there are no words to "Little Martha".
..and grammar counts for naught in Sling's Domain....Feel free to just spit it out. :)
