Frankly..

My dear frind Monica has a new cousin!
Did I ever tell y'all how much I love babies?..
No matter.
They are simply God's promise that tomorrow will come, and hope,in the form of an infant, springs eternal.
I think the important thing to remember here,is how to appropriately nickname young Ms. Francis.
Of course,I have no say in the matter.
This is properly left to they that nurture..

No pressure.

In a totally unrelated fashion,I'd like to offer this Friday Video, brought to you by the guy who pioneered the electric guitar.

*EDIT*..I originally wrote that Chet invented the electric guitar.
This distinction properly belongs to Les Paul, and sundry others whose efforts have brought the instrument to it's present state.
Chet was known as 'Mr. Guitar'.
Oh,the things you can do with strings!

They just smell so good [well if looked after they do] sometimes I have to stop myself sticking my snout in some unsuspecting new mums pram and copping myself a good whiff.

A- Chet was a fucking genius, period. And that is one of my favorites of his.

B- We're on the same page as far as the little humans go

C- However, I tend to think they ought to wait till they can peg their own nick name, cause I hated the hell out of the one Mamma stuck me with and it took me 25 years to get her to stop using it.

billy P.- I'm gettin' me a hat.
I'll post my version of Amazing Grace sometime, eventually, sooner or later.

Hat- Step away from the baby toes!

Yellowdog G.- Don't ya know that rock n' roll is what it is because of Chet's innovations?..of course you do. :)

apos- Ain't nothing like the smell of a freshly powdered baby!

doralong- A)Every guitarist I admire,admires him!

B)It's a dog eared page in my playbook.

3)So,..are you saying I should stop calling my 31 year old daughter 'PoopButt'?

Daddy nicknames are different, every daughter is stuck with those for life. Love 'em or hate 'em. Wow, guess I should be happy Daddy called me something slightly more prosaic than PoopButt, huh?

*Makes mental note to thank him for that*

sling, with your expertise in woodcraft, you should start making molds for toe-less baby shoes.

i thinnk there will be a demand soon if hat doesn't lay off nibbling the toes off of newborns.

i'm just sayin'...

oh, and i get 20% of net sales for proprietary rights to the idea. 10% goes to me and the other 10% will go to help fund the toe-less newborns support services.

doralong- In truth,I called her that initially because, well, you know.
She'll always be 'Jessie' to me. ;)

Sage- It's okay doll, this is why I am here.
Chet Atkins is largely responsible for the evolution of electric guitar music.
I could go on and on,but trust me,You hear his influence even today.
I LOVE Helen Reddy!

danny-..I'm thinkin' more like 15%..

lostinco- shit fah'r and save matches girl!..He's sumpin' alright! ;)

Babies, like marriages, are an exercise in optimism. It doesn't always work out as well as you'd hope, but still you take a leap of faith.

Babies are so full of hope and potential. Grown-ups get so very silly around these little people. I do love babies.

What was that show that had Sela Ward and Swoosie Kurtz - Sisters, yeah, and it had these adult women, sisters (obviously) and they all had "boy" nicknames because their dad had wanted boys. There was Alex (Alexandra) Teddy (theodora), Georgie (Georgianna), Frankie (Francesca), and then there was a younger one, Charlie, I think. If it's good enough for Sela and Swoosie ...
