To those of you that stop by on Friday..

What the hell are you thinking??..

You know the music is gonna be sappy, and melancholy,..probably sans vocals*,..and should never be taken if you are pregnant, may become pregnant or have any expectation of ever getting laid.

..Ever.

*except in this case, where the music and vocals are sappy, and melancholy..I love this stuff!

Ya know, the playing of "sappy" ballads in the wee hours can have markedly aphrodisiac results...if it can work for me, it can work for anyone...just sayin'.
Best wishes and happy hunting this next year!

I always enjoy that kind of music. Which is sad because I could have used some sex at some point next year. Ah well.

Hat- Some things are better than sex!..this ain't one of 'em.

I love Nanci Griffith. And isn't that the same tune as Loch Lomond?

mom- It's one of the few songs I keep on my computer playlist.Yep,all the Friday Videos I've been playing were tracked down from the audio files in "My Music" folder.

CS- I think it is..only a different tempo.I've wondered which lyrics came first.

Nancy, strings, Celtic stuff...yeah, nothin' but crap over here at Sling's house. Move along. Nothing to hear here.

billy pilgrim- I never heard of Shane Mcgowan,so I wiki'd him..He looks very much like jeebus..

lorraine- This is an inside joke I have with myself...
There isn't a single person in my inner circle that can stand listening to anything that doesn't rattle the foundations with incessant,mega-decible bass lines. My daughter once told me,"Dad,..your music makes me wanna cut my wrists"..I really do know I can share these things here with people that get it.. :)

Sling, you have done it again...I have always loved the Chieftans...and they did an excellent version of the Rocky Road to Dublin with the Stones once which is amazing... and this offering is also amazing...what a sweet voice and sweet is fine when it comes to singing...in a world trying so hard to be ugly it is a fine thing to have something beautiful to listen to.
