Miscellany..
Today is a notable anniversary for me.
Not like a break out the Champagne and Rumaki kinda thing,but something I take note of with one of those 'score another mark in the air with your forefinger' sorta moves.
Five years ago today,I successfully completed my 3 year sentence in Community Corrections.
In the five years since my release,I have remained entirely clean,occasionally sober,..and have limited my contact with the police to an infrequent nod of neighborly recognition as we pass each other on the streets of O-Town.
Like I said,..this,by way of parsing out the little wedges of time in my life,the sum of which brings me to wherever it is I am today.
..No need to smother me with hugs and kisses.

The Daughter and Grand babies are coming to see me!
It's been four years since I've seen her and my two Granddaughters,and of course I have yet to meet young Jackson in the flesh,..lo these past eighteen months that he's been hangin' out on the planet.
Daughter has a brand spankin' new Chrysler Crossover,and is scheduled to arrive July 15th for a four day visit!
The entire household is all abuzz with anticipation..
As for me,..I'm so happy I could squirt!

Great that you're seeing the little ones. Bummer that it's been so long.
Onward we go, time marches on don't it? Something to remember with a smile on your face from five years ago today and something to look forward to, a visit from those dearest to your heart. Makes me want grandbabies of my own.
I hope Community Corrections knows how lucky it was to have a man of your talents and character among the population. Tell me (well, obviously, you don't have to) - do you ever feel like they took 3 good years from you?
However it felt, you surely spread some good shit around when you were in their system. :\ I guess it's our system.
ANYWAY. This is very exciting, a family reunion. And union.

I'm plumb proud of you my friend..getting your shit together is not easy...in my case i got it together and it was too heavy to carry and had no place to take it anyhow.

I mean,..it's not like not commiting crimes is such a huge deal or anything,.(Way to go Sling,you stayed outta jail for 5 years in a row!),..I really just wanted to take note of on my blog in the journaling sense.
Sling that is wonderful stuff...two big things...the fifth anniversary and a big visit from the famibly...many photos whill ensue no doubt...its just wonderful and you must be a smilin from ear to ear...
