Fiesta Days !!
Boy Howdy!..I'm here to tell you that O-Town takes it's chili very seriously. The street is packed with peeps from one end of town to the other.
..Live bands on practically every corner.
The cook-off is sponsored by the Butte County fire department.
No donuts for for these guys. They're strictly chili fans. ..and ROCKIN' musicians as well!!
I hung out here for a bit and enjoyed some excellent 50's rock and roll.
Everyone was havin' fun sampling the different varieties.
..As well as the beer.. ..and of course,chili-dogs..
Crap!..I almost forgot to show you guys the parade!

I couldn't believe how great the marching bands sounded. They all received rounds of well deserved applause.
...pretty girls are everywhere!..I'm pretty sure the redhead across the street is checkin' me out..
Little Newt waiting to pounce on all the candy and toys that get tossed to the kids. He's a real fireball..Believe me,I've tried childproofing the house, but he still keeps getting in!No way I'm missing the car show. These beauties were lined up on both sides of the street for about 10 blocks. Just about the time the sun was high, and it started to get a little hot out,I hustled all the way to the other end of town to enjoy the shade at Sank Park, and browse the booths at the craft fair.
..where I picked up this cool tin sign at a great price!I'm gonna hang it behind the bar at Here's the 80's..It doesn't really match the decor,so lorraine will probably shake her head when she sees it..Just like she does every time she passes the stuffed Armadillo I keep next to the beef jerky rack.
I make fun of O-Town,but sometimes the joint really rocks!..Have a great weekend!

it looks like a great day in O'town.
it's nice to see a fire truck that doesn't have giuliani's picture on it.
That looks like a blast. If they have a veggie chili option, I'm there. Well, I'd be there for the veggie beer option, anyway!
What fun! I love a good fest!!!!
I'll be sure to post ours in a few weeks
Thanks for letting us see!
Oh... Happy mother's day to the kids!
Tres delightful. Although you failed to mention how you liked the chili and whether or not you were bringing any into the club. As for the sign, I like it a damn sight more than the armadillo but the crickets like it so it stays.
it looks like our westfest, except not as hot..and bigger parade..we should swap..one year you come to west fest..one year i will come to otown for the chili cookoff..ha..
although you do know in your heart of hearts...there is NOOOOOO way that otown could have chili as good as anything in texas...
looks fun!
What a great day!!!! Makes "small" town living worth it, huh? Ah, as for the redhead...looks like she had a short dude next to her...she's probably a control freak. Thermalito Tigers??? Really.
This coming weekend we'll have our annual "Lost in the 50's" celebration. The festivities start with a parade of 50's vehicles through town Friday night, a dance afterward, and the cars on display throughout town the next day. All sorts of music, food, etc... No marching bands until 4th of July, but a lot like your hometown event. So much fun!!!
All that and Electric Power too! Cool beans in the hot chili.
Thanks for sharing that awesome day. Sounds like a blast.
Wishing you well, as always, sweets.
So did the redhead across the street end up getting a restraining order? :)
I miss small towns...not to live in, just to visit. Sadly, I don't visit anymore though :( I am in love with all of those cars!
If I'm not mistaken, the blonde and the brunette were checking you out as well.
It's good to have options.
Hey you, I love the old cars.....Looks like you had a good day!!!!!!!!!
