OOhhh!...pretty..

Who doesn't enjoy beautiful things?
I think about that, and then I think about why we even have a perception of it.
I mean, all things being equal in a world that holds a preference for the survival of the fittest,it would make much more sense to just concentrate on the fundamental concerns of simply staying alive, and propagating the species.
Birds do it.
Bees do it.
Birds and bees and flowers and trees.
..and then I think about that, and it's beautiful.

There is symmetry there,in the finely tuned balance that ties even the lesser of God's creatures,to the infinite expanse of the universe.

But still, why should I even stop to consider this?
It doesn't put food on the table. It won't guaranty my offspring will make it through the Winter. In point of fact, what with the hostile nature of,..well,..everything,taking even the briefest moment to stop and smell the roses is almost certainly a fool's mission.

'Here lies Sling.
He dropped his guard for an instant,
..and got hit by a bus'.

But that's okay.
Living by bread alone, isn't really living.

Sounds like you are feeling the touch of the Divine stirring your soul. There is nothing more beautiful than the love we humans are able to feel for one another. Thanks for noticing how beautiful this world can be.
You are a remarkable and beautiful person.

I'm odd girl out. That song always made me mad-it sounded like it was about a sailor who knocked up a local girl and was going back to England. Yes, he might die, but if he didn't, he sure wasn't coming back. Adios amiga. Enjoy your little half breed kid, I'm going back to marry some fat english bird....

debra kay- HA!..That's an interperetation I hadn't heard before.
It's my understanding that the song really isn't about a person, but a place.
There are places like that in my own experience that I will most likely never see again, but I keep them in my heart just the same.
Thanks for stooping by!

Did the respirator- mask leave indents on your mug dear friend and you were feeling low today?
Well, get out and go camping like you said you would...now go do it. You can watch the birds and bees out there, count stars, look at embers in the firepit and be happy--ier.

Have a grand week fellow friend, enjoy!

Roger Whittaker is the soundtrack of my early childhood. His voice is how I imagine the perfect Grandpa. Hey, did he come out with anything in the 90's? hmmm...
