Children of the korn..

'You're not paranoid,if they really are watching you!'...

Like most rural communities,O-Town is largely a quiet, and peaceful little Hamlet.
Lazy days filled with the laughter of small children playing under the watchful eyes of their soccer moms, shopkeepers busily sweeping the sidewalks in front of their stores, while all and sundry townsfolk go about the business of living their daily lives at a Rockwellian pace..All quite pastoral,I assure you!

We are reminded however, during these misty mornings, and chilly evenings preceding All-Hallows Eve,of a darker, and much more sinister veil that conceals our deepest fears.
Things that are only spoken of in whispers, out of earshot from the children, and certainly never in the presence of 'Outsiders'...

****Mysteries of O-Town****

What malevolent force compels the inhabitants of O-Town to gather en masse along Main Street at seemingly random times, and for no apparent reason?..

This 'Sprocket of Death',preserved where it fell,is all that remains after Bob Rotary's twin-engine Cessna mysteriously disappeared from the skies above O-Town!

No one alive today knows what ancient race of technologically advanced beings built 'The Great Pyramid' at Filbert Street,or why it was abruptly abandoned before it was completed.

..and perhaps most frightening of all!

It's Monday,..and life is beset with really creepy stuff in Sling's Domain.

Oooooh. I have chills! (I'm SUCH a sucker for scary stuff. All you have to do is give me a heads up - you know - 'I'm planning on scaring you' and I get all jittery and jumpy.)

That is a beautiful shot of the Great Pyramid. A little hard to figure out the Great part. Or the pyramid, for that matter ...

Lost- It looks like they love you too!

Billt P.- The O-Town Department of Antiquities and Kosher Delicatessen has forbidden excavation of the site.

Jan- Of course there's pods growing down there!..don't blow my cover.

Miss HP- I get cold chills every time I walk past the joint.

Yellerdawg- Save yourselves!! :O

Booda Babe- O-Town scholars generally agree, that the ancient beings that built the Great Pyramid were three inches tall, and really sucked at geometry.

mom- I'll check the O-Town yellow pages for a cheap exorcist. :)

Hey you take great photos...you should do a coffee table book on o'town,...with your commentary of course.

That last picture is so creepy.

No masks required for our GOP friends.... wagging finger and glazed over look in the eyes. Enough to scare any free thinking soul.

willym- BWAHAHAHAHA!!...If you tell on me,I'll tell mom about that thing you did that time!

Middle Child- Oh,you can leave town if you want to,but you always come back..oh yes,..you always come back.

Speck- We don't have any scary music playing, just the eerie peal of distant churchbells.
We don't ask for whom the bells toll..

citizen- That building is just dripping with character!
I don't know what it was used for,but I get a sense that it may have been a blacksmith shop..I don't know why.

Sage- Hey!,that's a good idea!
Maybe I could even do those write-ups for Triple A..probably not.

Thinker- while I was taking the picture,I noticed several people go in,but they never came out!!..just sayin'.

I used to love "small towns".I thought they were filled with wonderful, kind, accepting, people !!! Since sarah palin, I'm afraid of them, now.

What is safe, anymore?

Hey, if you DO write an article (and watch me avoid saying 'You SHOULD' because SOME people get mighty ornery when they hear 'should' - got it) - we have a friend who's the travel editor for one region of the Triple A magazine.

(I guess I could have emailed you that, hm? Sorry.)

Hmmmmm.... red eyed cats in a window. Ancient evil pyramid and scary republicans? Is it just me or does anyone else see a connection here? I always thought McCain and Palin were among the undead.

all frightening.....each and every one and those kitties? frighteningly adorable.

There have been a rash of political Obama sign thefts in Idahoeeeee. Folks have taken to making home made ones and putting them on trees.....prosecution potential if busted for taking "private property signs." It has been reported that red ghosts are the thieves.

speck- ;)

austexgrl- Not all small towns are the same.
We don't shoot wolves from airplanes for example. Our wolves are treated just like members of the family!

booda babe- Seriously,I've read O-Town's write-up in the AAA guide.
It's extremely well done, and very informative...much better than I might do.
I learned that our Chinese Temple has self-guided tours, which I'll be taking advantage of,and posting about soon I think.

Mouse- If you wear a string of garlic around your neck, and brandish a wooden stake, they tend to leave you the fuck alone.

anne- HI Doll!..I'm glad you had a little fun. :)

Evil G.- See!..Co-incidence?..I think not!

rosie- They probably need to recycle them,so they can make enough money to pay for Sarah Palin's wardrobe..
