So little time!..Friday Jukebox.

Sometimes!!,
..scratch that.
Mostly,..I wonder why so very many among us that proclaim to be guardians of the Holy Scripture, have clearly never read it?..

'Thee is mine,..though I don't know many words of praise, thee pleasures me in a hundred ways'..

Well, no,.. that's not exactly in the Bible..
Jeeze,..You gotta be hit upside the head with a big ol' stick?..

'In so far as you have done this to the least of my brethren,..you have done this to me'..

That's what the wise man said!
..Look it up.

'Friendly Persuasion'

EDIT:..At first I thought, when I quoted the phrase 'least of my brethren',it might be interpereted as some kind of slight.
Then I thought,'Surely my readers are more enlightened than that!'..
..and then I thought,'..Hey!..we have some left over fish stix!'..
..I'll shut up now.

Hey, a nod to my folks! We watched this once in Meeting and all laughed heartily at some of the stereotypes.

Oh Thee ...cracks me up. I am so glad I use the slang word "the"..I would have never made it in the "thee" times.

I have to be honest here.
I don't exactly remember writing this, and I don't exactly know what happened to that bottle of Brandy I bought yesterday..
But I do know this!!..It's a pretty song, and that Tony Perkins guy was the guy in the Hitchcock film 'Psycho'..

I feel like I'm a teenager again. I saw this movie several times and listened to Pat Boone singing this all day long. I grew up speaking King James English and it all sounded pretty normal to me. Thanks for trip down memory lane.

"silent prayer?" from Friendly Persuasion. had to see the movie..When everyone was going around (raised in the military)...saying hate the commies, down with the commies, I'd rather be dead than red.
i thought..hmm, i know jack shit about
them so i went to the library and read every thing i could find on them...same with religion...i've read the bible front to back, read books on the bible, etc..but i still like my old time religion..pagan.

I find your dismissive attitude towards Fish Sticks to be appalling and offensive to my delicate sensibilities.

Get thee to a cannery!

Did they all win Oscars for all that thee-ing and not thpitting? I consider it the height of fine thespianing.

I'm not much of a Christian, but there's no arguing that Jesus chappy was about as wise as they get.

And I like that Tony Perkins had a little something to say on the subject of killing and Prop 8 because he'd have led a whole different life, wouldn't he, if so many people hadn't been such mean ass haters on the least of our brethren.

(I thought I'd duck in there, under your big ol' stick on the back swing).

mom- I just love the simple elegance of the song's lyrics, and the King James version of the Bible.

Yellerdawg- See!..This is why I love my blog pals.
They at least take the time to consider different points of view. :)

allan- I have nothing but the deepest respect for fish stix, and intend to vote against raising the fish stix tax.

Miss HP- Don't forget tater tots!..Fish stix aren't a nutritionally complete meal without them.

Booda babe- In truth,I'm probably more of an Old Testament guy myself, but I like to think I know wisdom when I hear it.
You said all that stuff I wanted to say much better than I did by the way.

"Put on your bonnet, your cape and your glove, for thee I love." Awesome. Why can't Hollywood give us more Quaker love stories?

Miss HP- That's the good life right there!

Thinker- I think the last Quaker love story was 'Witness'..
Kelly McGillis was a totally hot Quaker babe!
