Depends on how you spin it..

If you're like me,and let's face it,..who isn't?,..you've come to enjoy gathering up the family, crowding together on the couch, setting the coffee table with a bowl of pork rinds and a bottle of Tobasco brand hot sauce, and watching the live video feed of the monumental oil spill roaring forth from the sea floor in the gulf of Mexico.

The younger ones amongst you may have curiously inquired,..'HOLY FLYIN' SHIT!!..How is this gonna affect all those rare and wonderful creatures that inhabit that delicate environment??'..

Well, not to worry!..As you can see in the screen shot I took this very morn,a magnificent Eel glides gracefully within a few feet of the catastrophic consequences of the unbridled greed and hubris of short-sighted corporate ASSHOLES!  gently flowing stream of Earth's bounty.

Clearly, this nimble fellow remains unaffected by his circumstance..
If anything, his freshly lubed exterior will allow him to more easily slip those relentless gulf stream currents, allowing him to better compete with his so-called 'pristine' counterparts!

..I hope this encouraging development has helped to set your mind at ease.

This truly is a terrible disaster and only goes to show that you cannot trust big companies where money and greed is concerned. BP underplayed the disaster from the beginning, now it is 4 X the amount of oil, more like 20,000 barrels and not 5,000. Any which way we got decades of ruined beaches and dead animals and ruined environment. In may view BP and its chief Executive have committed a crime against humanity.

Oh my gosh, the sarcasm is just dripping from your words in this one, my friend!! *smiles*

I am LIVID about this disaster, too. BP can suck it. (And that's the meanest that Miss Healthypants ever gets. *grin*)

Sage- I wrote that in my best Rush Limbaugh voice. ;)

Laurent- It is a crime!..and I don't even know what to call it.
Criminally negligent avarice?
Felonious First-Degree Fuckery?..
It defies description.

Miss HP- OH MY STARS and GARTERS!..
Miss HP said 'Suck it'!
You just made my whole day doll. ;)

The whole thing from pre spill to this minute is pissy. As I watched every day, several times a day, and still do and listened the BP big shots I KNEW they were L.Y.I.N.G. they still are and will continue to do so to CTA.

Mom- I keep wondering, how can we ever apologize to our grandchildren?

Rosie- Lying, and more concerned about laying blame than they are about plugging the freakin hole!

Okay, I am self-medicating my sore body after my fall with a nice Cab-Shiraz blend, so I am just not seeing that eel. But it's probably best I not get into my feelings about that oil spill.

It's all part of BP's solution. That is actually an oil sucking eel. There are 10 million more on the way as soon as the eggs hatch. Be patient.

Secret Agent Woman- His tail starts in the lower left corner, and goes up at a 45 degree angle to his head..Hope you heal quickly!

Thinker- Whew!..I was beginning to think they didn't have a clue how to fix it.

I saw that eel too. I think they are replaying that scene on a loop to give everyone false hope. The poor creature probably swam off to a oil ball and died.

i shouldn't catch up on blogs when i need sleep.

i read "eel glides" as "sea gulls" and i couldn't figure out how the hell a sea gull dove so far down in the ocean.

i agree with that anonymous guy.

there are a lot of people that should be doing the perp walk over this. starting with the inspectors and ending with BP executives and managers.

The Cousteau gang have been diving and recording (and posting) videos and I've been watching in that can't drag myself away and at a certain, helpless point, all I can bring myself to think is that our children and their children will at least have learned something.

That last monumental spill spawned a great movement in environmental activism. Of course, it also made all the corporate assholes MUCH more loophole clever.

This is cold, fucking comfort.
