Friday Memory Dump..

Look what followed Mom-O home!
He's all fluffy,and ornery,and made of cake...
We don't actually name the cats.
Fat-Cat,and Bailey are just names I use to distinguish them on my blog.
I shall be calling this little fellow 'Rasputin',..after my favorite Aunt on my mother's side..

More of the happy fact that O-Town is a cornucopea of low-hanging fruit.
These Qeene Anne Cherries yielded enough to fill two ample baskets for the residents of Winston Gardens,as well as a generous issue for my co-workers,and myself.

This is Sam,the gay Parrot..
The whole time I was pruning the owner's Ornamental Plum tree,he kept telling me, 'You're Pretty!'
...I figured the least I could do was showcase him on Scribbles.

The O-Town Air National Guard (OTANG),..on the job!

..Missed it by that much.
You can't tell from the photo, but he's carrying a small child in his beak.

Fungus ain't no joke.
We had to cut this tree down due to it's unfortunate infestation.

'You gonna eat all them Maggots?'..
There was quite the bonanza in our community dumpster.
This scrub Jay was willing to fight over 'em.

Vertigo..

Well, that was totally worth the wait. Even the missed birdy is a great shot. It's kind of nice to get that 'shit. Missed!' moment in a photo. Lately, with all the photography we have access to, I can forget to 'get' that an eye's involved.

I would also like to say that this wins the most adorable thing I've heard all week: he's made of cake.

Lisa gave me this link on her twitter and it's completely worth thirty seconds of time:

Give my regards to Aunt Raspy.

Maybe the bird is just secure in his masculinity?

I have a theory that the name you give a pet determines his personality. Eager to hear more from Rasputin.

Jan from Poodles and dogs who can only comment on some websites because google is inept.

I always love your Friday memory dump. Life is so exciting and interesting in O-town. Those cherries do look good enough to eat.

OK. So.. the whole Vertigo shot is not funny. My last 911 call and hospital trip was because of Vertigo. It is the worst feeling ever. Not to mention they don't even offer a shot of the good pain meds or perscribe Oxycontin. Next time I'll be sure to need an amputation to make it worth it!
Really though, Vertigo ain't no joke kids!

As always fascinating photos and equally fascinating, if somewhat fantastical, explanations!!!!

Vertigo is a prize winner - as I picture I mean.

Some really cool shots here! Raspy is gorgeous, and those cherries are making me drool. My cherry tree yields maybe three cherries - and even then, only every other year!

That kitten is the cutest thing I have ever seen. Blue Jays are mean. I've been dive bombed by one before. She was like a WWI flying ace.

As always, awesome pics, Sling-o! :)

And aww, that's a cute little Rasputin... *smiles*

I love the gay parrot, too. :)

Hello Sling,
Congrats on winning my book Keen Colory Critters. I hope you enjoy it... and perhaps you have a child in your family to share it with. Your photo caption at Shrinky's blog for Jake in the water was too funny.

Nice blog! "You gonna eat all them Maggots?" Maggots make me squirm. I'd gladly let the Jay eat them all.
